Gourmet Cakes

ur gourmet specialty cakes and appetizers are prepared with the same attention to detail as all our products. We only use the freshest fish and the most flavorful spices, blended together in the perfect balance to produce the tastiest cakes available in the market today.

The following is a list of our gourmet seafood cakes:
Crab Cakes

Maryland Style Crab Cakes—A unique blend of spices, green onion, and mayonnaise bring out the fabulous taste of fresh crabmeat.

Salmon Ranch Burgers —The best of the fish is used for our quality salmon cakes, mixed with the perfect blend of herbs and creamy ranch dressing.

Shrimp Cakes—a newer twist on an old idea. We took premium cold water shrimp and combined it with our best crabcake ingredients to make a shrimp cake. It's fabulous!

Our suggestions to the retail establishment for target customers for the shelf–ready two–portion packs of our appetizers and specialty cakes are:

  • moms shopping for quick, high quality meals for their families or dinner parties
  • single people
  • couples (no kids), with little time for cooking either for themselves or for their dinner guests

Of course, any customer that enjoys an easy–to–prepare, delicious entree should be encouraged to purchase any of theses delicious gourmet cakes.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Remove cakes from package. If frozen, let thaw for 1 hour at room temperature (or 24 hours in the refrigerator).

Weight: Each cake is three ounces.

Stove Top
Place 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a wide sauté pan and preheat on medium high. Gently slide cake into pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Flip cakes and serve when golden brown.

Oven/Toaster Oven
Preheat oven to 450°, place cakes on flat pre–oiled baking sheet. Brush top of cake with melted butter and bake for 7-9 minutes. Carefully flip and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes. Serve when golden brown.

Microwave Oven
Not Recommended

Appetizers

ur unique appetizers can add just the right interest to a meal. These tasty treats are produced with our same strict standards for freshness and quality.

The following is a list of our appetizer product line:
Calamari Pestos

Calamari Pestos—A Calamari treat. A tenderized calamari ring, generously stuffed with two kinds of cheese and fresh basil, then gently battered and breaded. Available frozen only.

Stuffed Shrimp

Stuffed Shrimp—A butterfly shrimp, peeled and topped with a crabmeat stuffing and hand breaded with Japanese–style crumbs. Available frozen only.

Fiesta Shrimp Salsa—A new twist on an old favorite. This delicious salsa, not too hot, is loaded with fresh shrimp, chunks of tomatoes, and just the right combination of spices. Available fresh only.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Pestos:

Deep Fry—From frozen, for 45-60 seconds or until just brown. Drain  1-2 minutes and serve. Caution: Filling is very hot.

Pan Fry—Heat 1/4 cup high quality vegetable oil or peanut oil in a non-stick skillet. Carefully place frozen Pestos in oil and cook about  1-2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Caution: Filling is very hot.

Stuffed Shrimp:

Remove product from package. Place on lightly oiled baking dish and bake at 375°F for approximately 15 minutes or until hot in the center.

Shrimp Salsa:

Shake container well and serve with chips. Also makes a great addition to eggs or as a topper for any baked fish dish. Try it on a baked potato!
